Ascendant Dawn 0.1.19 Monument Update


I recently updated Ascendant Dawn my grand strategy game where you play as a nomadic tribe. 

Version 0.1.19 adds in a few new features and improves on other things. I've added the foundations of a livestock system, camp stuff and the main menu has been greatly improved. The change log can be found below. -Reduced settler spawn chance

I got some feedback saying that there were too many settlers being spawned so I reduced it.

-Made tutorial easier to understand

-Improved resource UI

-Made map characters smaller (I'd really like to hear what people think of this)

-Fixed escaped slaves with no pops

-Re-enabled creation of settlements

-Improved camped production UI

-Added options for when camped

-Added camped buildings

-Added monument buildings

-New modifier building degradation rate

-Removed slave market, adding this functionality to settlement

Slave markets spawned pops from nothing and the design didn't really fit with the rest of the game.

-Added the foundations of a livestock system

-Added carry capacity which affects speed

-Can now capture deer instead of slaughtering

-Livestock do better when camped but you have to move to new pastures.

-Added interaction with monuments

-Refactored animals 

-Added livestock section to pops tab

-Re-enabled settings in pause menu

-Added floating arrow when you select a map object.

-Changed main menu background and lighting. 


Overall this update had a lot of quality of life improvements along with the basis of more mechanics. The next update will focus on UI improvements and fleshing out mechanics introduced in this update along with adding the showroom feature.
